10 minutes from the highway but you feel like you have escaped to the countryside. Bar is a must see.

The grounds, the amenities.

Beautiful room, grounds, dining area and lobby. Nice indoor pool, outdoor pool, gym, tennis, racquetball, basketball, etc. In area of antique estates and mansions. Very Pretty 35 minute train ride along the Hudson River to NYC. ...read more

Elegant setting; I was greeted by a fawn as I entered the grounds.
My stay was too short!

Elegant, gracious, warm, welcoming all describe this unusual setting for a hotel. It's more of a visit to a wealthy friend's home than a stay in a hotel.

Beautiful grounds, great restaurant, clean.

Went there with my wife for an overnight
stay and it was great. Easy to get to but secluded enough to feel your away from it all. We ate at the cellar restaurant for dinner and breakfast and both times it was great. Room was clean and staff friendly. Nice to walk around the grounds. ...read more

Unbelievable property - the grounds the manor houses - it is a beautiful Property.
Our first 2 rooms had a problem

Overall it was a beautiful hotel - but our room was okay - nothing special and our first room actually had mold growing on the wall and I am pretty sure the bottled water in the room had been opened. Our bathroom door was so warped you couldn't shut it- we complained and they did switch us to a different room and gave us breakfast tickets - but at 11:30 at night after 8 hours of driving with 2 kids we did not need the chaos. ...read more

The hotel was very clean.
There was no privacy.

The hotel was very clean and the atmosphere was lovely, unfortunately the room we stayed in had disturbingly thin walls. My wife and I were able to hear another guest on the phone in the adjoining room as clearly as if he were in our room. The conversation was so loud we were awakened from an afternoon nap. This really spoiled what could have been an excellent hotel stay. ...read more

Location - was really quiet, far enough from highway to be quiet but not out of the way.
Housekeeping made too much noise too early in the morning.

I didn't like how every little thing was extra - the itemized list in the booklet in the room if you steal any of these things from your room you will be charged.
